Auto-selection of quasi-components/components in the multi-dimensional quasi-discrete model

A new algorithm for the auto-selection of quasi-components and components (QC/Cs) in ‘multi-dimensional quasi-discrete’ model is suggested. This applied to analysis heating evaporation multi-component fuel droplets. It allows one automatically select QC/Cs update initial selection during droplet evaporation. The expected be applicable a wide range fuels blends. can directly implemented into CFD codes with minimal intervention by end-user. Using this algorithm, effects transient diffusion species on lifetimes are investigated mixtures Diesel E85 (85% vol. ethanol 15% gasoline) fuels. shown that reduce E85-Diesel droplets, taking account contributions up 119 at stage evaporation, based 5 QC/Cs, near end 1.9% errors predicted temperatures radii. CPU time needed perform calculations using 80% less than when considering full composition fuel.
